REVAMP: acrylic storage box
Do you ever see something and think, 'it's almost fabulous'? Well, that's how I started crafting. I wanted to make small changes to standard things to make them amazing & unique. This $3.00 storage box was one of this things. I loved the 'gem' shaped lid, the clear acrylic, the smoky acrylic top. However, it wasn't fabulous yet. I knew it needed a tweak, so I brought it home to mull it over. Then it hit me- a jeweled handle for the lid. The handle plays off the existing things I love about the box while making it feel more finished and stylish. This is an easy project for even the most craft-phobic among us.
a glass faceted knob
(it's not even worth numbering them because it's so easy)
Use the bolt cutters to remove the screw part of the knob. Use a decent sized dollop of glue to adhere the knob to the top center of the box. Let that dry.
That's it... seriously.
